We all recognize the importance of windows in the design, security, aesthetics and function of a new building and in the rehabilitation or adaptive reuse of an existing building. Windows define a building. Windows and doors have the extraordinary feature in they are simultaneously installed inside and outside of the building in the same location.
The major element of a window, glass, a material that by itself has very little natural insulating qualities. We are going to discover how to radically improve the performance of a window by using a Radiant Glass Window System.
The use of a Radiant Glass Window System eases the limitations of size, placement and the number of windows. Conventional windows come into conflict with the economic and social goals of conserving and limiting the energy demands of buildings. Radiant Window Systems help achieve those goals.
Internal mechanical heating and ventilation requirements are dictated by the selection, use and placement of conventional windows and affect interior architectural design and furniture placement.
